Starting this week, a host of big and medium-budget films are lined up for release on every Thursday and Friday, and are of course associated with huge expectations from both the actors and the audiences. Nagachaitanya and Kajal Aggarwal’s Dhada is to hit the screens on August 11. Directed by Deva Katta and produced by Atchi Reddy on Max India Productions, Dhada is to showcase the dancing abilities of Chaitu and place him in the elite club of dancers that has the likes of NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Tej and Ram. Then there is Ram and Hansika starrer Kandireega on August 12, which was helmed by Santosh Srinivas and financed by Bellamkonda Suresh. Aksha and Swathi are playing the other two female leads in this. Thaman’s rocking music apart from the trailers of Kandireega have shown Ram emulating a handful of biggies in his performance and styling — Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and Bunny, which evidently caught the attention of one and all.

In the month-end, Mahesh Babu will be back with a powerful show in Srinu Vaitla’s Dookudu. Samantha is pairing up with the Prince for the first time. Promos of the film have already grabbed eyeballs more for the fact that Mahesh is delivering such raunchy dialogues, showing off his prowess in fight scenes and flaunting a suave look like never before.

Movie Moghul Ramanaidu’s Mugguru starring Navadeep, Rahul, Avasarala Srinivas, Shraddha Das, Sanjana and Reema Sen is getting ready for release. VN Aditya who hogged limelight with blockbuster movie Manasantha Nuvve (2006) is coming back after a hiatus of about four years (his last offering being Aata in 2007). Also, child actor and Prabha’s cousin Siddharth Rajkumar’s debut as hero — Keratam is in queue to hit the marquee by month-end. Newbies Aishwarya and Femina Miss Inida 2011 contender Rakul Preet Singh are also getting introduced to the glam world. Music director RP Patnaik’s brother Gautham Patnaik is debuting as director with this Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam trilingual.

Adding to the list is JD Chakravarthy’s Money Money More Money, which is a sequel to Money Money (1995), which in turn is a sequel to Money (1993). The last two films were produced by Ram Gopal Varma and directed by Shiva Nageswara Rao, and proved runaway hits with their comedy elements. The latest edition would continue the series of Khan Dada, which was played by Brahmanandam and in fact has the star comedian as the protagonist besides the key role by JD. It is to get released on August 26.

Balakrishna’s much-awaited Sri Rama Rajyam will see the light in September, while it’s audio theme launch is slated for August 15 at Bhadrachalam. The last offering of Bapu-Ramana combo (since the latter died recently), Sri Rama Rajyam has dusky beauty Nayanatara enacting Goddess Sita, for which she toned down and turned vegetarian. There are rumours that it is her last film since she is tying the knot with choreographer-actor-director Prabhu Deva soon.

Krishna Vamsi’s Mogudu has Gopichand and Tapsee Pannu trying their luck. Gopichand’s last release Wanted was a disaster and is hence pinning his hopes on the creative film-maker. The success of the flick would however make Tapsee a star in Tollywood. Moreover, it is known that all the Krishna Vamsi’s films project the lead pair in a different light, which adds glamour to their presence on screen.

Naku O Loverundi features Krishnudu and Ritika as two youngsters in love. A romantic comedy it is, the movie is directed by Ram Venky and produced by K Suresh Babu, KM Radha Krishnan composed the tunes for this, which will see voluptuous actor Krishnudu as lover boy again. The audio is a hit with the music-listeners and the film is scheduled for September-release.

But what’s most exciting for all the movie-lovers out there is the fact that all these projects have different storylines, varied concepts, diverse presentations and of course, attractive star cast. So, brace yourselves up for visual treat, folks!
