‘Kaavalan’ comes to Telugu

The Tamil film, which is the remake of Malayalam hit ‘Bodyguard’, will now be re-remade in Telugu by Bellamkonda Suresh.

HYDERABAD: Bellamkonda Suresh, one of the foremost producers of the Telugu film industry, has acquired the remake rights of the Tamil film ‘Kaavalan’ which had Vijay and Asin in the lead.

The film is the remake of the Malayalam movie titled ‘Bodyguard’ with Dileep and Nayantara in the lead roles. Both ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Kaavalan’ were directed by Siddique.

Suresh, a specialist in remakes, hasn’t finalized the lead actors of the Telugu version. It isn’t clear if Siddhique himself will direct the film. Talks are on that ‘Bodyguard’ will soon be remade in Hindi with Salman Khan in the lead. Siddhique will direct this version.
