Earlier in the day, DYFI, the youth-wing of the CPM, staged a 'Sneha Iruppu' (sit affectionately') stir against the moral policing since 10 AM. CPM district secretary P Rajeev and others attended the protest. (Albin Mathew | EPS)

'Kiss of Love' received national attention after its similar protest on November 2, 2014, at the Marine Drive after Yuva Morcha workers vandalised a restaurant in Kozhikode, alleging 'immoral activities' were being allowed there. (Albin Mathew | EPS)
