GHMC names its circles 

: Due to the confusion prevailing in the minds of the public about the GHMC circles which are based on numerical numbers after reorganisation of circle offices from 18 to 30, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has now named the 30 circles.

HYDERABAD: Due to the confusion prevailing in the minds of the public about the GHMC circles which are based on numerical numbers after reorganisation of circle offices from 18 to 30, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has now named the 30 circles.


Now, Circle 1 will become Kapra Circle. Uppal, Hayatnagar, LB Nagar, Saroornagar, Malakpet, Santoshnagar, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Falaknuma and Rajendranagar will assume the names of circle numbers 2, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4A, 4B, 4C, 5A, 5B and 6.


Mehdipatnam, Karwan, Goshamahal, Musheerabad, Amberpet, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Yousufguda, Serilingampally, Chandanagar  circles will also assume the names of existing circle numbers 7A, 7B, 8, 9A, 9B, 10A, 10B, 10C, 11, 12. Circle 13 is  named Ramachandrapuram and Patancheru now.


Moosapet, Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Gajularamam, Alwal, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, and Begumpet are the new names of the old circle numbers 14A, 14B, 15A, 15B, 16, 17, 18A and 18B respectively. 


The GHMC has directed all the zonal commissioners to take further action on establishment of new circles in the respective jurisdiction by June 1 and the new circles should start functioning by June 2 in the new designated places.
