New Manipur BJP unit president

Senior BJP leader Th Chaoba Singh hasbeen unanimously elected new president of the party's Manipurunit, party sources said today.

Sources said Singh, a former union minister of state foryouth affairs and sports, was the lone candidate for the postand declared elected during an executive meeting of the partyin presence of party's north east charge P Chandrasekhar Raohere yesterday.

Soon after election, Singh said his party would launch astrategic programme to fight corruption in Manipur and to gearup for the forthcoming 2014 Lok Sabha Polls.
