PATNA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said people of Jharkhand should vote for the BJP to get a strong government.

While addressing an election rally in Ranchi, ahead of the second phase of Assembly elections in the state, Modi asked the crowd, ”Majbut sarkar chahiye ya majbur? (Do you want a strong government or a compromising one?) He appealed to the people to vote for the BJP for development and a stable government.

“Vote for a strong BJP Government, I assure you we will ensure a strong Jharkhand,” the Prime Minister said. He also addressed a rally in Jamshedpur.

While addressing the election meeting at Gopal Ground in the steel city the Prime Minister asked the people of Jharkhand to reject dynastic politics.

“In the recently held Lok Sabha polls, people ended the dynastic politics at the Centre and now it is the turn of Jharkhand,” Modi said.

“After the implementation of new policy the state would get an additional `20 lakh crore from coal that will be utilised for the development of the state” he said.

According to Modi, ”The next five years will decide the future of Jharkhand for the next 100 years.”

He said the state was carved out from Bihar in 2000, thus it is now 15-years-old. So it needs rapid growth like a child after the age of 13-14. “At this crucial juncture, Jharkhand needs a strong hand” Modi said.
