LATEHAR: The engine of the Gomoh-Barwadih passenger train today caught fire at Mahuamilan station on the Barkakana-Barwadih section of Dhanbad Railway Division, Railway officials said.

Divisional Railway Manager (Dhanbad Division), M P Akhouri said the engine of the passenger train caught fire and was doused by fire-fighting personnel at Mahuamilan station.

The engine was replaced and the train left for its onward journey, he said adding, no was injured in the incident.

The station manager of Mahuamilan alerted the fire-fighting team, who rushed to the spot and doused the flames with the help of local residents, the DRM added.
