MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government today said it has transferred Rs 392 crore in farmers' accounts in 11 banks under the farm loan waiver scheme.

The government announced the Rs 34,000 crore loan waiver scheme in June this year.

"A total of Rs 899 crore have been transferred to the Cooperation Department. Out of it, Rs 392 crore have been transferred to farmers' bank accounts," said an officer in the chief minister's office.
