LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh IAS Association today condemned the alleged attack on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

The city's top bureaucrat today had alleged that he was assaulted by ruling AAP MLAs in front of Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia at the chief minister's residence in New Delhi.

The AAP rubbished Prakash's allegations as "bizarre and baseless".

"UP IAS Association strongly condemns the attack on the chief secretary, Delhi.We believe this is an attack on the Constitution of the country and demand a strong punishment to the perpetrators of this crime," Association office-bearer Alok Kumar said here.

We also stand, very strongly by the chief secretary, Delhi and all our colleagues in the NCT cadre.

We also urge the Delhi government to make sure there are adequate steps for safety of all civil servants so that they can discharge their duties effectively, Kumar said in a statement issued here.
