Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Narendra Modi on 20 billion Dollars benefits to Reliance in Rafale deal

The Congress alleged that the benefits accruing to Rs 1,30,000 Cr were recieved by Reliance- Defence Offset Contract' worth Rs. 30,000 Cr and 'Lifecycle Cost Contract of Rs 1,00,000 Cr.

NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 20 billion US Dollars (Rs 130,000 cr) worth of benefits accruing from the offset contract and the 'lifecycle' contract in the deal for Rafale fighter jets, to Reliance Defence.

In a post on social media, Rahul said,''Dear Trolls, I apologise for my earlier tweet in which I stated Mr 56's friend's JV, received 4 Billion US Dollars' of "off set" contracts.

I forgot to add the 16 Billion US Dollars RAFALE "lifecycle" contract , 20 BILLION US Dollars is the actual benefit.

So Sorry!! #130000CroreRafaleScam.''

Earlier on Friday, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala , at a press conference, said that the PM should tell the nation why the offset contract was given to a company without any license for manufacture of aircraft and in absence of a land and building.
