Avinash and Swati Konde

Confirming his next directorial, the theatre activist, social worker and filmmaker tells City Express, "Like every other director, I am waiting to see people queuing up in front of theatres, which hopefully should happen by January (after the demonetisation crisis dies down). Depending on that we will decide on the release date for Beautiful Manasugalu. Meanwhile, I am starting with my next project
Vanilla, the official announcement for which will be made on January 1 through social media."
Jayatheertha says that the movie's title is a reference to the plant and flavour. "The subject is based on a true story, which is about a global mafia that exploits the environment. There is love and there will be a thrilling mystery," he says.

He has chosen fresh faces Avinash and Swathi Konde, who will be seen in the lead roles. "Avinash comes from a theatre background and Swathi auditioned, during the selections for Beautiful Manasugalu. Both have been trained by me and are set to face the camera," he says. Vanilla made under Akhila Productions, produced by Jairaj.
