Rishi as police officer in thrilling Kavalu Daari

Hemanth M Rao’s next project is all set to go on floors this August

Director Hemanth M Rao who had a succesful debut with Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu is ready to start with his second film. Titled Kavalu Daari, the project gets a bigger platform being presented by Puneeth Rajkumar and Hombale Films, and produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar’s PRK Productions and Karthik Gowda’s KRG Studios.

Rishi

Work on the film is all set to start in August and now the team has decided on the lead actor. Rishi, who is marking his debut with Operation Alamelamma, will be the lead actor of Hemanth’s Kavalu Daari. The director says that the character Rishi will be essaying is particularly interesting. “Rishi will play a police officer in the thriller,” says Hemanth.

Apparently, Hemanth had Rishi in mind from when the actor gave his audition for an earlier film. But Rishi could not be part of that project though. “I thought he fit the character perfectly and, more than that, I watched the trailer of his debut film, Operation Alamelamma and his role as Purmy is impressive,” says the director.

Kavalu Daari means cross roads, which is a metaphor for a police officer’s life because his or her life travels between truth and lies. “It was very apt name for my story,”  says Hemanth.
The makers are now in the process of finalising the movie’s heroine and the rest of the cast. Charan Raj has been roped in as the music director.
