BJP leader Shivappa laid to rest in native town

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader B B Shivappa who died in Bengaluru on Monday was laid to rest at his native Kumbarahalli of Sakleshpur taluk on Tuesday.

HASSAN: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader B B Shivappa who died in Bengaluru on Monday was laid to rest at his native Kumbarahalli of Sakleshpur taluk on Tuesday.The funeral and last rituals were held under the supervision of Swatantra Basavalinga Swami of Basavapatna, Mahanta Swami of Hirekodli Mutt and Sangameshwara Swami of Javenahalli Mutt as per Lingayat rituals. 


Shivappa’s wife Susheela and sons Pradeep, Pravin and Sudeep took part in it. 
District Minister A Manju, MLA H K Kumaraswamy, former ministers B D Basavaraj, H D Revanna, Ramachandre Gowda, former MLA B R Gurudev, former MLCs G Madhusudan, Thontadharya, Congress leader Chandrakala,   actor Jai Jagadish, district BJP president Yogaramesh, former president Navile Annappa and Jai Maruti Devraj paid their last respects to Shivappa.
