KOCHI: The Kutty Sahib Road at Cheranalloor will soon be upgraded. As per the plan, the road will undergo remodelling worth Rs 1.87 crore. Announcing the decision here, Hibi Eden MLA said the preliminary works will be launched soon. “The negotiations for the acquisition of land for widening is progressing. We hope the land owners on both the sides of the road will co-operate with us. We have requested the land owners to give three metres from both sides for the proposed widening. Most of the owners have taken a positive stance after realising the renovation works will increase the accessibility and their living standards,” said Hibi.
The proposed renovation plan includes laying of interlock tiles up to a length of 700 metre and BMBC tarring on the remaining stretch along with retaining wall using stone.
