After a thousand successful experiments, internationally-acclaimed astrologer Ajai Bhambi has brought for his legions of readers a book that will help them enrich their lives by understanding the importance of planetary positions in shaping their existence. Planetary Meditation, his 13th book, has already scorched the bestseller lists. Exploring the concept of nakshatra meditation (NM), the same nakshatra or constellation, that, under astrology, is said to give you your personality and knowledge, and shape your future, is a meditative technique never explored before in print. It connects you directly with the deity associated with the nakshatra you were born under.

Writing down his entire account of findings was the obvious choice. “A book is a silent explosive. It is mute, but says a hundred words through its silence. The best thing about making these special meditative techniques available through my writings, is that they are open to interpretation. One can adapt them according to their needs. The results are very positive,” he says.

The book was completed in 60-odd days, but the subject matter had been on his mind for 35 years. Written in an easy-to-understand, free-flowing way, the simple-to-follow book teaches techniques for harnessing the power of our breath, all of which is based on the attributes of a person, depending on their nakshatra or constellation. These nakshatras are spread all over the sky and some are visible to the naked eye. The nakshatra visible at the time of one’s birth becomes the person's birth nakshatra for life. Its influence is immeasurable, says Bhambi. When one continuously meditates on it, it opens up hidden qualities and potentials of the person. “In a world full of strife, with people reeling under stress on a day-to-day basis, the knowledge stated in this book will help everybody seek and find solutions. It will be a guiding principle for the changing times,” he says, adding that after one has performed the breathing patterns described in the book, one can empty their preoccupied mind of all tensions, work-related or personal. “The NM-technique lifts one from the ground and places them in the sky near their nakshatra. Once there, they can become who they really are, and what they want to become. Devised after experimenting for a few years, coupled with his deep perception and understanding of practical aspects of life, Bhambi was able to introduce this powerful technique to the world.

Besides the profound 40-minute meditative technique, the book discusses the influences of the moon and the sun on the human mind. The moon has always been attributed with healing qualities. It is an inspiration for positive human values of love, peace, calmness and acceptance. “Just like the moon, the sun is also a source of life, light and energy. In essence, the entire calculation of astrology is based on the sun’s principals, as it is the pivotal point of our consciousness. Knowing the importance of both the elements is imperative for the governing of human life,” says the astrology guru, who believes that at any given point in time, we are at the centre of the universe, with the centre denoting zero, which, in turn denotes nothingness. “For example, if you are in New Delhi or New York, you should consider that the centre of your universe. When you are zero and the universe is infinite, there is always a possibility of realising your nothingness or be part of the whole. This idea is given a lot of importance in the Hindu philosophy, and can be a powerful tool if tapped into, in the right way,” he adds. Taking it as the starting point, he concludes by saying that the book is a reservoir of information for the true seeker. It is up to you to gain or lose from it.
