Born in 1966, Rajiv Bajaj, son of industrialist and auto stalwart Rahul Bajaj, has come a long way. Bright student and then an equally bright executive, he is a distinction holder in mechanical engineering (Pune University) and has a master's degree with distinction in manufacturing systems engineering, from the University of Warwick, UK. He has contributed to and participated in the successful transition of Bajaj to a high quality manufacturer of high performance motorcycles by conceiving and executing a realistic and result-oriented plan that was focused on a few significant issues, that gradually grew upon everyone, and that has always secured profitability.

From being an Officer on Special Duty in 1993 to Managing Director since 2005, Rajiv realigned marketing and sales while introducing some of the successful new products into selective international markets. Besides, he introduced new techniques in the plant, ensuring the company grew towards the future. An avid biker and traveler, he likes to spends his free time with his family.
