The Shiv Sena has sent the names of four more rebel MLAs to the Maharashtra Assembly deputy speaker for initiating action of disqualification against them, a senior leader said on Friday evening. The party will also issue notices to 16 MLAs of the rebel faction and ask them to respond by Monday, said Sena MP Arvind Sawant here.
The four legislators whose names were forwarded to the deputy speaker were Sanjay Raymulkar, Chiman Patil, Ramesh Bornare and Balaji Kalyankar, he said. "Despite issuing a letter to them, none of them attended party meeting on Wednesday evening here in Mumbai," Sawant said.
The party has already given names of 12 MLAs to the deputy speaker including leader of the rebel camp Eknath Shinde, seeking their disqualification. "Now, only chief minister Uddhav Thackeray can decide about allowing their return to Sena, otherwise party doors are closed for them forever. They have betrayed the saffron flag," Sawant said.

Striking a defiant note, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday night dared rebel leader Eknath Shinde and the BJP to try and take away the Shiv Sena cadre and those who vote for the party, and also accused the BJP of trying to finish off the Sena.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil on Friday said that the party has "nothing to do" with the problems faced by Shiv Sena due to revolt by a section of its MLAs.
Shiv Sena MLA Bhaskar Jadhav on Friday asked party leader Sanjay Raut to communicate with the rebel legislators instead of 'challenging' them.
"Assam has been defamed by your presence," Assam Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah said in a letter to Shinde. The Assam unit of the Congress on Friday staged demonstrations near the luxury hotel, demanding the rebel Sena leaders camped there leave the state as it is reeling under a devastating flood.
CM Uddhav Thackeray is currently meeting NCP leaders, including party chief Sharad Pawar at his residence 'Matoshree'. State cabinet minister Jayant Patil and party leader Praful Patel are present, too.
Biswa Sarma gave tongue-in-cheek comments when asked about the camping of Maharashtra's rebel Shiv Sena MLAs in his state: "We have spent so much money to promote tourism, (we say) visit Kamakhya, visit Kaziranga, now, should I stop those who have come to Assam?" he quipped. READ COPY HERE

BJP MLC Pravin Darekar has written a letter to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari demanding his intervention into the way the "MVA government in the state is suspiciously taking rapid decisions one after other pertaining to schemes, projects and giving contracts."
"Assam defamed by your presence considering Guwahati as a safe heaven for MLAs who have no respect for constitutional values and loyalty at all," said Assam Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah in his letter to Eknath Shinde.

Governor’s role comes into play if the rebel MLAs write to him withdrawing support to the MVA govt led by Uddhav Thackeray.
