Adil Ibrahim, a popular household name, thanks to his stint on TV, will next be seen in Achayans  and the actor is quite thrilled about it. “This is easily my first commercial movie. Though I did Kappiri Thuruth,  it had an offbeat flavour. Achayans is a mass entertainer and I am thrilled to be part of it. I have always wanted to be in a movie with a mass appeal,” says Adil.

The actor will play Abey, one of four brothers. The others are being played by Jayaram, Unni Mukundan and Sanju Sivaram.

“We are Achayans, and all four of us have equal screen space. When the offer came, I was more than thrilled to be part of it, as it had a huge star cast, including Jayaram, Prakash Raj and Amala Paul,” he said. Adil says the team was very jovial towards him, so he did not feel out of place.

For someone who hasn’t worked on a larger canvas until now, Adil says he didn’t have anything to worry at all.

“I knew Jayaramettan before. He made me so comfortable on the sets. He used to tell me stories and play pranks on me. So, we got along very well. This was the same with Unni and others. So, it didn’t feel like work at all,” says Adil.

The actor who is working on a comic venture, Hello Dubaikaran, says he is beginning to love acting. “I play a solo hero. It is high on humour and has a scope for performance as well. I have a few day’s work left and the movie is likely to hit the screens before Onam,” says Adil.
