SHIMA: A 18-year-old British girl was allegedly raped in a cab by two youth near Palampur town of Himachal Pradesh, police said Friday.
"A British girl was allegedly gang raped by two youths last (Thursday) night near Palampur town in Kangra district in a maxi cab. She has been working with an NGO here for the past many days," Inspector General (Law and Order) S.R. Mardi told IANS.
"The victim was returning after her day's work and was offered a lift by the accused."
"The victim reported the matter to police Friday morning. Two people, including the cab driver, were arrested Friday noon," he said. Palampur 250 km from here.
"The British embassy (high commission) has been informed regarding the incident," he said.
