At least ten persons arereported to have been injured when a local train collided witha railway engine at upper Assam's Dibrugarh district thisevening, official sources said.
The incident took place at M E S Tiniali area near Chabuatown of the district at around 7 pm, the sources said.
As per preliminary reports, the Dibrugarh-Ledo passengertrain was coming towards Dibrugarh when it collided head onwith a pilot engine going to the opposite direction.
All the injured have been shifted to local hospitals andrescue operations are still going on at the site.
