Scanner on Investments Made by Peter Mukerjea and Indrani

Express News Service

MUMBAI:Tongues are wagging over how much money Peter Mukerjea and his wife Indrani Mukerjea got when they quit INX Media in 2009. The investigation into the murder of Indrani’s daughter Sheena has not yet touched the Mukerjeas’ investments.

There are reports that the Mukerjeas got  around Rs 600 crore from the sale of their stakes in INX Group and their properties in Worli (Mumbai), Bristol (UK) and Marlow (Spain). These are back-of-the-envelope calculations as no authentic details are available. The INX stake sale was concluded for an undisclosed amount as the company was unlisted.

Singapore-based investment firm Temasek Holdings bought about 25 percent quality stake in INX Media.  The Registrar of Companies had listed a few companies such as INX Executive Search, INX Productions, INX Services and INX Music  under the INX Group.

INX Music displayed the name of Indrani Mukerjea, among others. INX Executive Search was an in-house recruitment company.
