Following the social media backlash on pictures of the brand new Mahamana Express, which plies between the capital and Varanasi for badly littered coaches, Indian Railways has decided to educate passengers about travel etiquette.
Railways had spent around Rs 30 lakh for the new coaches with upgraded facilities like controlled discharged water tap, exhaust fan and LED lights in the toilet, well designed ladders for climbing up to upper berths, more number of plug points and so on.
People took to Twitter to share the pictures of unkempt bogies of the one week old train which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22nd. Pictures went viral on all social media platforms asking the passengers to behave properly. Users have gone ahead and pointed out that the passengers who litter do not deserve such high end amenities.
