NEW DELHI: Joining the debate of nationalism, Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya on Tuesday called JNU student leader Umar Khalid a terrorist and demanding DNA test of Khalid to check his nationality.
Degrading the JNU student Umar Khalid, Abhijeet said, “Who is Umar Khalid and what is freedom of speech and expression? first of all, he is not from our country and the government should send back him to his country where he comes from. He is the bigger terrorist and anti-national than the people of Kashmir. ”
“I am always known for abusing Pakistani openly on social media due to which his twitter account is suspended two times,” Abhijeet said while speaking at Delhi University Student Union office for giving his support to ABVP.
Pointing towards the Delhi University teachers such as Abha Dev Habib, ex-Executive member, Nivedita Menon and Vivek Kumar (members of Delhi University Teachers Association) who stepped onto the roads of north campus on 28 March to fight against ABVP, Bhattacharya said, “The varsity has been spoiled by these types of anti-nationals and our ABVP members will respect the teachers if she is good otherwise they will take any type of action and I am there behind to support in such matter if they stand against such Terrorist. This terrorist should be thrown out of the Varsity”.
He also demanded reservation for ABVP in Army, school, college. We all should keep them on the top rather than keeping and following the Charkha spinning persons on the first category.
