Uttar Pradesh: Man arrested for supplying mobile phone to jail inmate

Praveen Kumar, was apprehended yesterday after a mobile phone was found hidden in a box of sweets, which he was taking to an inmate.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A man has been arrested for allegedly supplying a mobile phone to an inmate of the district jail here, an official said.

According to Jail Superintendent A K Saxena, the accused, identified as Praveen Kumar, was apprehended yesterday after a mobile phone was found hidden in a box of sweets, which he was taking to an inmate.

Praveen was arrested and a case registered against him in this connection, the police said.
