71 oustees join MCL as miners

AS many as 71 villagers, including six women, joined the MCL, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, as coal miners on Friday. They belong to Soloda village of Talcher.

TALCHER: AS many as 71 villagers, including six women, joined the MCL, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, as coal miners on Friday. They belong to Soloda village of Talcher.

The new appointees were welcomed at a ceremony organised at Hingula area of MCL here by general manager (Hingula), Kalicharan Khuntia. He said the newly-appointed coal miners will add to the strength of Coal India in general and Hingula area of MCL in particular.

The MCL has provided employment to over 12,000 families of oustees in Angul, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts. Hingula area has offered 165 employments to the eligible families of which 71 have completed all formalities of joining the service, including mandatory fitness test, and received posting orders.
