Bulandshahr, Dec 8 (PTI) The driver of a tanker carryinginflammable substance was charred to death when his vehicleskidded off the road and caught fire on National highway 91here, police said today.
Circle Officer Raghvendra Kumar Mishra said the incidentoccurred last night on NH-91 near Sikandrabad by-pass.
The tanker skidded off the road and fell into a ditchafter which it caught fire. As the tanker driver got stuck inthe vehicle, he was charred to death in the vehicle, Mishrasaid.
Vehicular traffic on the National Highway had to bestopped for three hours as there were serial explosionsfollowing its overturning.
The tanker driver and the vehicle are yet to beidentified, the officer said. PTI CORRDIP.
