Kolkata, Nov 22 (PTI) Senior CPI(M) leader and thechairman of the party's Central Control Commission, SukomalSen, passed away at a city hospital this morning after amassive cardiac arrest. He was 83.

Sen, who was one of the main organisers of StateGovernment Employees movement in the country, was sufferingfrom age-related ailments. He is survived by his wife and son.

The former Rajya Sabha MP had served as the generalsecretary of All India State Government Employees Federation.

He was also the vice president of the Centre of IndianTrade Unions (CITU), the trade union wing of the CPI(M). PTIPNTRMS.
