Chennai Match Pushed Back

Express News Service

CHENNAI: Football fans in the city will have to wait a bit longer to see Chennaiyin FC in action, after Indian Super League authorities announced a fixture revision on Friday.

The revision saw CFC’s first home match pushed back to October 21, instead of October 19 as had originally been scheduled. However their first away game against FC Goa has been brought forward one day to October 15. They will play their last home group game on December 9.

Another team that has been affected in the fixture revision is Kerala Blasters, who will only make thier home bow on November 6, instead of October 27. The move is thought to have been made to give officials more time to work on the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium turf, which will be affected by the India-West Indies ODI on October 7.
