MONTMELO: Fernando Alonso has been evacuated in an ambulance after crashing in his McLaren during Formula One preseason testing on Sunday.
Track officials at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit say Alonso went off at turn three and hit the wall. They say he has been taken to the circuit medical center in an ambulance.
McLaren has been plagued by technical problems this preseason after switching to Honda engines ahead of the upcoming season.
