Singapore wins Olympic table tennis team bronze medal

Singapore won the bronze medal in table tennis women's team event of the London Olympic Games Tuesday, beating South Korea 3-0.

This is the second bronze medal Singapore won in table tennis in London. Feng Tianwei won the bronze medal in women's singles six days ago, reports Xinhua.

Feng beat South Korea's Kim Kyung-Ah (11-8, 11-9, 4-11, 13-11) in the opening match. Her teammate Li Jiawei continued the winning streak, defeating South Korea's Seok Ha-Jung (11-5, 11-8, 6-11, 11-8).

Wang Yuegu/Li secured the bronze medal for Singapore after beating South Korean pair Dang Ye-Seo/Seok (11-9, 11-6, 6-11, 11-5).

China will compete with Japan in the women's team final in the afternoon.

Singapore won the silver medal in women's team events at Beijing 2008.
