BUENOS AIRES: Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, Federico Delbonis and Thomaz Bellucci won their first-round matches in the Argentina Open on Monday.
Garcia-Lopes advanced with a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Carlos Berlocq of Argentina. Next up for Garcia-Lopes is a meeting with No. 2 seed and Spanish countryman Pablo Carreno Busta.
Crowd favorite Federico Delbonis also moved on, holding off German Florian Mayer for a 7-6 (4), 6-4 win. Bellucci defeated Argentina's Pedro Cachin 6-2, 6-1, and Dusan Lajovic advanced with a 7-6 (4), 6-1 victory against Argentinian Facundo Bagnis.
