HYDERABAD: The Union Ministry of Environment and Forests has granted environmental clearance for the AP Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO)’s Kakatiya Thermal Power Station Stage -II (600 mw). The decision was taken at a meeting of the expert committee of the ministry held in New Delhi on December 15. APGENCO Managing Director Ajay Jain and other officials concerned made a presentation before the committee members at the meeting. This project, which would improve the voltage and generation capacity in Telangana, is an expansion of 500 mw Kakatiya Thermal Power Project stage-I.
