GUNTUR: The parents of TV and cine actress Bhargavi were shocked to know the death of their daughter through television channels.
Bhragavi was a native of Gorantla village in Guntur district and settled in Hyderabad after getting chances in TV serials and movies.
Speaking to Express here today, her parents Pola Rajendraprasad and Bhanumathi said that they have no suspicion on any one in connection with the murder of their daughter. They are not aware that Pravin Kuamr married their daughter. They said that Bhragavi visited their house when she attended a private programme in Guntur recently. Bhargavi used to say that Pravin Kumar was instrumental in getting her chances in movies, according to her parents.
Bhargavi studied upto Class ten class in Stalls Girls high school in Nagarampalem and Intermediate and Degree first year in Women’s College. Later she discontinued her studies and left for Hyderabad. Her father Rajendraprasad runs a type institute in Guntur.
Suicides, killings of actresses Fatafat Jayalakshmi, who became a household name with her popular dialogue ‘Fatafat’ in K Balachander’s film Maro Charithra, became a regular artiste in several telugu films especially those made by Dasari Narayana Rao.
When her career was steady and her popularity was on the rise, she ended her life. Till date her death during the 1990s was a mystery.

On February 11, 2007 TV anchor and news reader Laxmi Sujatha was brutally killed in a hotel room in Vijayawada allegedly by her friend and makeupman T Ramesh. Ramesh, reportedly, could not bear her refusal to marry him.
