HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday raised several doubts over the murder of Moddu Seenu in Anantapur jail yesterday.
Speaking to reporters, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said that there were doubts that lethal weapons were used to eliminate Seenu. He alleged that there were many more persons involved in the murder besides Naidu came to this conclusion after the TDP team, which visited the jail, briefed him.
Naidu reiterated that Moddu Seenu was eliminated, as he would reveal the big names behind Paritala Ravi murder case. He held Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, his son YS Jagan, Minister JC Diwakar Reddy and Suri responsible for seenu’s murder.
Naidu alleged that two other key accused in Ravi’s murder case Aziz Reddy and Sambasiva Rao too were eliminated earlier naidu alleged that the State Government believed in the philosophy of `use and kill’ as it was used Seenu to eliminate Ravi and later Seenu was liquidated.
Naidu alleged that Om Prakash was first kept in Saraswati barrack, where accused in Ravi’s murder case, GV Reddy and Obireddy were kept. seven days back, Om Prakash was shifted to another barrack, where Moddu seenu was staying. He said that Om Prakash was shifted to Seenu’s barrack, when the deputy superintendent of Anantapur jail was on leave.
He alleged that Anantapur jailor Varun Reddy had links with Om Prakash. He faulted the Government for not suspending Varun Reddy Naidu said that truth would come out if deputy superintendent of jailor was arrested. He also expressed doubts over the way the `panchanama’ was conducted without inviting the relatives of Seenu finding fault with the functioning of the CBI, he alleged that even after four years of Ravi’s murder CBI failed to take Ravi’s murder case to a logical conclusion. Though, Seenu expressed that he would became a approver in the case, the CBI refused it, naidu alleged.
Asked wether Om Prakash was in his party, naidu said that he was just a criminal and the `bigwigs’ might have purchased him. ``When the Congress could purchase TDP MPs during trust-vote in Lok Sabha, can’t they purchase one criminal,’’ Naidu wondered.
