HYDERABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has accused the government of trying to provoke them by slapping illegal cases on their rank and file, and trying to bind over them.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, Politburo member Nayani Narasimha Reddy alleged that Congress legislator TG Venkatesh was behind the moves to provoke the TRS. ``First of all, the government should bind over him to the police.
He stated that Home Minister Sabita Reddy was not competent enough to tackle the situation, and the Congress should take a serious note of it,’’ the TRS leader wanted.
He said the Dalit organisations in Telangana would organise a solidarity meeting in support of the fast-unto-death to be undertaken by TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Asked about the hunger strike announced by Congress legislator Jagga Reddy against Chandrasekhara Rao’s fast, Narasimha Reddy dismissed Jagga Reddy saying he was not worth his salt and no one cared him.
The TRS leader alleged that the government was trying to create hurdles to the agitation being launched by KCR and closed the borewells being dug by the party at the hunger strike venue. He warned that the government would be responsible for any adverse consequences which might arise.
Asked about the reports that attacks might be orchestrated on the settlers, Narasimha Reddy rubbished them and claimed that they were conducting their agitation in the Gandhian way.
