HYDERABAD: Without mentioning any name, Chief Minister K Rosaiah today observed that it was not proper to think that all eligible people would be entitled to get the posts. Besides eligibility criteria, fortune of a person also plays a role in getting the posts, he remarked.

Addressing a gathering at late Kommineni Seshagiri Rao’s Memorial Award presentation function (on the eve of first death anniversary of Seshagiri Rao) at Gandhi Bhavan here, the Chief Minister lauded the services rendered by the late leader for the party and society.

He as Pradesh Congress Committee president, recalled his association with Rao who had worked as State Youth Congress president and as the AP Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj Sanghatan (RGPRS) chairman.

On this occasion, PCC chief D Srinivas admitted to the views expressed by RGPRS chairman Nagubandi Satyanarayana that the party had failed to give due recognition to `real workers’ like Seshagiri Rao.

Both the Chief Minister and PCC president presented the `Kommineni’ awards to Legislative Council chairman A Chakrapani Yadav and district chairman of West Godavari Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj Sanghatan in recognition of their services to the society and polity.
