Committee general secretary Balla Ravindra Nath said here today that all political prisoners should be released unconditionally on September 13. He urged the State Government to release life convicts as per GO 338 and urged all democrats, thinkers, political parties and common people to press for the demand. Ravindra Nath also wanted the jail manual revised in keeping with people’s aspirations and the conditions of prisoners improved. Thousands of tribal people people, who fought for just causes, were languishing in jails in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, and should be released, he demanded.
