HYDERABAD: Noted Telugu film producer K Devi Varaprasad (68) died here on Friday after a brief illness at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. Devi Varaprasad entered the Telugu film industry with encouragement from late NT Rama Rao and produced several films with him. Devi
Varaprasad also produced many films with Chiranjeevi in the lead.
Born on December 6, 1943 in Vijayawada, Devi Varaprasad, made films like Kadhanayakudi Katha , KD NO 1 , Eduruleni Manishi , Naa Desam with NTR and with Chiranjeevi he made Chattamtho Poratam , Manchi Donga , Gharana Mogudu and Mrigaraju .
His last film was Bhajantreelu .
He was also former secretary of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.
His last rites will be held in Vijayawada on Sunday.
