Express News Service

A 24-year-old student pursuing his MBBS in Northern Philippine University in Manila went missing a few days ago. Though the incident took place some days back, the victim’s friends informed his parents only on Sunday.

According to sources, Kiran S, a native of Vijayawada, was pursuing his fourth year in the university. Kiran’s father S Kumar approached the Philippines embassy seeking information about Kiran but the staff failed to provide it.

Kiran’s family members lodged a complaint. It is learnt that Vijayawada police commissioner N Madhusudhana Reddy reportedly spoke to the Philippine embassy officials over phone and sought Manila polices’ help in tracing Kiran.  The family members reportedly sought the government’s assistance in getting a visa to visit the country to take up search operations.
