APNGOs form Samaikya Rashtra Samiti

APNGOs  association state president Ashok Babu said here on Sunday that they had formed a Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Samithi comprising employees of various governemnt departments, lawyers, doctors and students.

According to him, they will hold district level public meetings and rallies on August 5 and stage dharnas at the residences of people’s representatives from August 6 to 8.

They will also hold an awareness meeting in Hyderabad on August 15 with more than one lakh employees.

Replying to a question, he said the APNGOs will boycott municipal elections if necessary.

Asked why the NGOs’ association was insisting on the resignations of political leaders, he replied that Samaikhyandra can be protected by creating a political vacuum and recalled the fate of the Women’s Reservations Bill and Foreign Direct Investment which are pending in Parliament for want of support.

Replying to another query, he clarified that their fight was to keep the state united and not aimed against the people of Telangana.
