CM on 2-day visit to home constituency

Ahead of the elections to local bodies, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will be on a two-day visit to Piler, his constituency on Monday where he will participate in a series of foundation laying ceremonies and inaugurations of several development works in various parts of his constituency.

He will take part either in inaugurations or in laying foundation stones for development works to a tune of Rs 776.20 crore during his two-day visit.

He will lay foundation stone to the proposed JNTU building in Kalikiri on Monday, for which the expected allocation of funds is about Rs 360 crore. He will also lay foundation stone to the 400 KV electrical sub-station in Kalikiri at a  cost of Rs 220 crore.

The chief minsiter will lay foundation stones to three 100-bedded hospitals in Piler, Kalikiri and Valmikipuram. The cost of these three hospitals is estimated at Rs 62.88 crore. He will also perform ground breaking ceremony to three 33/11 KV electrical sub-stations in Indiramma housing Colony in Gurramkonda mandal villages and the allotment of funds is Rs 1.40 crore to each one and also lay foundation stones in Gurramkonda mandal for two junior colleges for Telugu and Urdu, for AP Residential school and a stadium.

Kiran Kumar Reddy will also inaugurate market yard (Rs 3.71 crore), Indiramma Housing Colony, Gram Panchayath building, Sthree Sakthi Bhawan and Veterinary Hospital in Gurramkonda. He will also inaugurate a newly-constructed road between Voyalpadu to Gurramkonda via Tharigonda, which was laid down by R&B department at a cost of Rs 15 crore.

The chief minister will also lay foundation stones to Krishi Vigyan Kendra, NAC Centre, Agricultural Polytechnic College, and Integrated Farming System Complex and to Haritha Resort complex of AP Tourism department in Kalikiri village. He will inaugurate government polytechnic college and R&B guest house in Kalikiri.

Kiran Reddy will lay foundation stones to three electrical sub-stations (33/11KV capacity) near ITI, Regallu and at Ponthalacheruvu, the estimated cost of each sub-station is Rs. 1.40 crore.

 He will inaugurate newly constructed offices of tahsildar, Sthree Sakthi Bhawan, and divisional office of the AP Transco and shopping complex of AP Social Welfare Corporation.

Some Congress leaders admitted that the chief minister’s whirlwind tour is aimed at the ensuing local body elections.
