The two town police has arrested Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar at his house here Wednesday and produced before the court.

Later the court granted him bail with necessary sureties.

The police rounded Prabhakar’s house Tuesday night and registered a case against the MLA for obstructing the convoy of Union minister of Textiles Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and trespassing into his camp office Tuesday.

Meanwhile, his followers and party leaders gathered in huge number at his house, raising slogans against the Union minister. TDP leaders Maganti Babu and Badeti Bujji questioned why the police only registered case against the MLA, when thousands of Samaikyandhra agitators participated in the programme.
