DCI's Ultra Modern Toilets for Two Schools

Express News Service

VISAKHAPATNAM:With the clarion call given by PM Narendra Modi for providing clean and hygienic toilets to all schools under the Swachh Vidyalaya, DCI has taken up novel and model toilet blocks in the government schools.

The DCI has zeroed in on porta cabin toilets in containers which can be built at factory and brought over to the sites in a trailer and installed swiftly. For the septic tanks, instead of conventional cement type, DCI used the modern fiber-reinforced plastic septic tanks which are easy to install and more hygienic. The discharge outlets are either connected to drain or soak pit. The external area was built up with MS steel and the internal part was made of fibre cement boards. The portion of the roof has polycarbonate sheet to let in natural light. The DCI has invested Rs 75 lakh on the new toilet containers for 10 schools.
