Ramdev to Set up Yoga Gram in Tirupati

Giving a fillip to the State government’s efforts to set up Yoga and meditation centres near all the major temples in the State, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev is learnt to have come forward to establish a world-class Yoga and Dhyan centre.

HYDERABAD:  Giving a fillip to the State government’s efforts to set up Yoga and meditation centres near all the major temples in the State, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev is learnt to have come forward to establish a world-class Yoga and Dhyan centre in Tirupati with the name, ‘Ayurvedic and Yoga Gram’. He will also establish a Naturopathy centre and Goshala at the temple town with the help of  TTD  and Ayush department.

According to sources, the proposed Ayurvedic and Yoga Gram would be the second largest centre to be set up by his Divya Yog Mandir Trust and will replicate a similar village established in Uttarakhand.

Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas had called on Ramdev at Haridwar on Monday to invite him to the foundation stone laying ceremony of AP’s new capital city, Amaravati, on October 22. Srinivas had informed Ramdev of the government’s plan to set up Yoga and meditation centres near all prominent temples in the State. In the first phase, the centres will come up in Tirupati, Vijayawada and Simhachalam.

Ramdev’s representative Acharya Balakrishna would visit Tirupati soon in this regard, he added.  “Ramdev would also help the AP government in setting up an Ayush University and a  herbal medicine park,” he said.
