43°C on Monday; Vizag temperature crosses 40 degree mark in last 2 years

The city recorded 43 degrees Celsius on Monday, the third highest temperature since 2011. In the last two years.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The city recorded 43 degrees Celsius on Monday, the third highest temperature since 2011. In the last two years, mecury levels in Vizag have not crossed the 40 degree mark.  The sweltering heat and profuse sweating gave a hard time to the citizens as almost all the busy junctions of the city wore a deserted look through out the day. “Usually, the city records the highest temperature of the year in June. But, this year, the mercury level has crossed 40 degree mark in May itself,” said the weathermen.
