Four die in motorcyle collision in Ongole district

ONGOLE: Four persons were killed when two over speeding motorcycles hit each other at Sankuvanikunta of Ongole district. The two motorists were on their way for Ganesh Visarjan celebrations.

One motorcycle with a pillion rider was departing from Kotthapatnam while another with two pillion riders were heading to attend the Visarjan ceremony. The deceased were identified as M.Ashok (24), a native of Vijay Nagar colony of Ongole, B Pavan (24) of Ongole, A Krishnamurthy (23), a native of Kandalur, and A Rambabu (25) of Kandalur.

K Sivashanker (24) was severely injured and admitted to RIMS hospital. Ashok was killed on the spot while others died on the way to the hospital.Sources close to the police said that the two motorcyclists were over speeding under the influence of alcohol.
An accidental death case has been registered with Kotthapatnam police station.
