KAKINADA: A massive search is on for a boat carrying seven fishermen of Parlovpeta in Kakinada urban mandal, which went missing in the Bay of Bengal. 

District Collector Kartikeya Mishra on Wednesday said the Indian Coast Guard was urged to launch a search operation for the missing boat soon after the matter was reported to the Collectorate on Monday.

The fishermen reportedly ventured into the sea on May 30 for fishing while fishing ban was in force. 
Three Coast Guard vessels from Kakinada and four vessels from Visakhapatnam were deployed for the search operation.
