TIRUPATI: The trial run of time slot system for Sarva Darshan will commence from the second week of December and counters to issue tokens will be ready by December 5, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju has said.During the weekly review meeting at Annamayya Bhavan at Tirumala on Tuesday, the JEO said the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) came up with the token system for Sarva Darshan to ensure comfortable darshan for common pilgrims without waiting for long hours in the queue complex.

He directed the civil, electrical, IT and other wings to complete all necessary arrangements for the introduction of the system within the stipulated time. “All the 150 counters coming up in 21 locations should be fully equipped with electronic gadgets to issue darshan tokens without any flaws,” the JEO said.

He also reviewed the progress of works related to Vakula Matha Potu, Padi Potu, additional potu and laddu complex. The call center exclusively meant for pilgrim accommodation will also start functioning in the next few days. Elaborate arrangements are being made for Vaikuntha Ekadasi to meet the devotee rush. All arrangements will be completed by December 20, the JEO added.
