VIJAYAWADA: Aiming at ensuring transparency in land administration, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday launched ‘Bhuseva’, an initiative under which all the land parcels in the state will be given a unique number called Bhudhaar for identification, on a pilot basis in Jaggaiahpet mandal and Vuyyuru municipality in Krishna district.

While the initiative will be implemented across Krishna district by May 30, it will be taken up in all cities, towns and villages across the state by October 2.

After launching the initiative at the grievance hall in Undavalli, Naidu said Bhuseva would put an end to irregularities in land records. “Once a unique identification code is given to each and every land in the state, all transactions done with respect to lands will be recorded without any scope for manipulation. While Aadhaar is generated using fingerprints and irises, Bhudhaar is generated using GPS,” he explained. He distributed Bhudhaar cards to landowners from Jaggaiahpet and Vuyyuru on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said his government was taking steps to put an end to corruption in the state. “AP is the first state to implement an initiative to streamline land administration by generating a unique identification code for each land parcel. With the help of technology, my government will see to it that not a single paisa is misused,” he said. He added that the Chandranna Pelli Kanuka scheme would be linked to Aadhaar soon.Naidu added that citizens may no longer have to visit offices to avail services as they would be available online shortly.
