Sniffer dog helps nab smuggler 

A two-and-a-half-year-old sniffer dog Bittu helped the Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) to nab a smuggler at Nagapatla East Forest beat near Rangampeta on Friday.

TIRUPATI: A two-and-a-half-year-old sniffer dog Bittu helped the Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) to nab a smuggler at Nagapatla East Forest beat near Rangampeta on Friday. When Ram Raj of Thiruvannamalai tried to escape from RSASTF sleuths by hiding himself behind thick bushes, the sniffer dog spotted him.According to DSP Venkata Ramana, an RSASTF team headed by RSI Vasu, was conducting combing operations since Thursday night. “To nab the smugglers, we pressed into service the sniffer dog squad. With the help of Bittu, we caught the smuggler, the DSP said.
